Gentle Reader,
I have to admit that, unlike the rest of the female members of my family, I don't like to cook. Food magazines have no interest to me. But I do seem to be drawn to the February issues of Martha Stewart's "Living" ... I think mostly because they seem to always have a nice late-winter gardening feature. So this year's issue found its way into my shopping basket. Sophie, who does like to cook, was very excited to see it and asked to take it to the kitchen at Joe Pye Towers, where she shared it with Jack and Ann Estelle.

Very soon, exciting Valentine's day culinary plans began to take shape!!
Mixing!! Blending!! Whisking!!! Rolling out!!! Cutting in!! Flouring pans!! Measuring spices!!
One more (new) picture of cookies coming out of the oven. Try "scratch an' sniff" on your computer screen over the cookie pan - maybe you can get a wiff??
So many good smells!!! Just wait until you see the results!!! It is a good thing!!!!! R.
