Dame Cecilia came back from one of her diplomatic "missions" overseas and was ready to relax. So I've loaned her one of my favorite movies to watch ("North and South").
....... Mug of cocoa? Check. Comfy robe and slippers? Check. Rocking chair? (yes, Dame Cecilia has a rocking chair just like us other mortals!) Check. ..... push the "play" button and ..... sit back for a good show!
(Be still, my heart!) R.
Update November 8th: I had no idea that the 10th anniversary of the release of this version of "North and South" was imminent. Apparently fan celebrations are planned, including this effort: "During the weekend of November 14, watch N&S and take a selfie of you watching (Shy people: if you, like me, are shy about taking a selfie that includes your face, don’t be concerned. My selfie is going to be of my TV with my legs stretched out on the coffee table in front of my sofa!). [And post it where ever it is folks post selfies.]" So I'm thinking this blog post can be Dame Cecilia's and my early effort at a quasi-selfie?! R.
I've been mulching a lot of leaves recently. There's the (relatively) fast way with my leaf grinder and then there's the slow way, the end result of which is shown in these photos.
Aren't these great?!! They are made using paper punches - line up the leaf's veins with the mid-point of the punch shape, punch and voila! Simple as that! I was inspired by an idea shared on paperminis.com
