I've started working on a project that I purchased the fabric for at least two years ago. It is all beautiful silk, most of it habotai, and I stored it rolled together on a big tube. I'm trying to re-do/correct my junihitoe project of three (?) years ago, so there are multiple cuts of cloth on the roll - and I started by sewing the bottom layer of the junihitoe and wouldn't you know it, that piece of silk was way deep in the roll, thus I had to unroll "everything" to get to it. And ..... found another piece of silk that I had completely forgotten purchasing!!!!
I'm not a big fan of working with slithery, slippery sheer fabric but I must admit that there is just something so beautiful about silk that helps make up for the frustration .... R.
