I completely forgot that today is Dame Cecilia's birthday!!

Cards and good wishes started arriving this morning, even a real firefly one from Dame Cecilia's good friend Princess Anne (known to the younger members as Auntie Annie).  I'm so embarrassed!
But luckily Azalea and the gang are on top of things and have produced balloons and a scrumptious birthday cake.  Here they are as the party got underway.

Annie Laurie appears to be apprehensive that Azalea is going to trip over her shoe lace .....

The party continues as we speak!  And Dame Cecilia wants me to pass along her thanks for the sweet birthday greeting that she received from Princess Anne!   R.
